Hi Doctors! I am 23 and have prominent marionette lines. Are there any ways to improve the appearance of these lines? I recently had buccal fat removal and feel like it made the lines worse. They are on both sides of my mouth to chin and are particularly noticeable in certain lighting.

Answer: HA Fillers Are Routinely Used To Treat Marionette Lines Marionette Lines extending from the corners of the mouth downward to the sides of the chin are very commonly treated by fillers in any active cosmetic dermatology practice these days. They are more common as people age, but can be seen in much younger individuals based upon a genetic predisposition, or, as may be the case here, due to removal of fat from the cheeks above allowing for the development of sagging, jowls and folds, such as the mrionette lines, below. The probably is quite readily addressed with the use of fillers. In experienced hands, filler treatment should not take more than about fifteen minutes to perform and the results typically give rise to an immediate "Wow!" reaction. Just make sure to consult an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist. Best of luck.

Answer: Marionette Lines Hello! An in person evaluation is always best for assessments. However, filler can most definitely treat marionette lines. Another option that would help produce collagen and elastin is the Morpheus 8 face. Three treatments are recommended and will help tighten skin while treating fine lines as well.
