Would chemabrasion work for my scars? (photos)

Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Sorry you have wasted your time and money on "bells and whistles" fraxel lasers. As you have unfortunately learned the hard way, the purported benefits of these devices, as well as for a lot of other so-called energy-based devices, are far more supported by device manufacturer marketing hype than hard science. Subcision, a quick and relatively inexpensive technique that I have personally been using for elevating and smoothing all kinds of indented scars since 1994, has stood the test of time for safety and efficacy. You would be wise to find an experienced board certified cosmetic dermatologist with extensive scar treatment experience to discuss this option. Best of luck.
