Picked at armpit skin after chemical peel - is the discoloration going to be permanent? (photos)

I did a chemical peel at home on my armpits. The chemical peel is a mixture of TCA, glycolic acid and lactic acid. The person who sells this claims that it's epidermal peel. On the first day the skin started to peel, it seems I picked flacking skin before it was ready and ended up with red skin for 2 days. Now it's my 3rd day and it's a little bit darker than my normal skin tone. I've been using petroleum jelly. Is this going to be permanent? I'm desperate and depressed ):

Answer: Stop picking and stop peeling your arm pits. This will not end well.
