10days ago I had 2 full vials of restylane lift in my cheeks, one vial on each side of my temples, .5 on each of my tear trough and .5 all around the border of my lip. I hate everything. My cheeks are STILL flat maybe not the outer cheeks but the inner cheeks are. I feel like filler under my eyes makes my nose look even wider and the lower part of my face is so big now way more than it used to be whats going on? Please help me fix this. Tried to find a before pic but its not face forward
Answer: Facial Rejuvenation -- PRP/Microneedling, Laser (Fraxel/Clear+Brilliant, Erbium/Co2), Venus Viva, Intensif, Fillers/Sculptra fillers can make the face puffy but they cannot enlarge the nose unless they were injected there. if you are unhappy you can reverse them. I suggest for facial rejuvenation a combination approach of : 1) skin care with products and PRP/microneedling 2) PDT light therapy few times a month with growth factors 3) laser treatments like clear and brilliant regularly and a few times a year Fraxel, Viva, Co2/Erbium 4) Sculptra injections a few times a year for collagen production with fillers like juvederm/restylane/belotero/radiesse/bellafill 5) thermage/ultherapy for yearly skin tightening with or without PDO or cone based instalift threads for lifting 6) botox every 2-3 months to stop movement lines and prevent lines at restBest, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Filler not in the right place Thank you for your question and I am sorry to read of the experience and outcome. I would suggest going back to the surgeon/ practitioner who performed the treatment. It might well be that where the restylane has been injected, the skin is much thinner and is making your nose look wider but this will probably be a temporary effect. Things that can be done: 1) wait to let the swelling settle down and then reassess the area. It might surprise you that it actually settles down to what you intially desired 2) speak to your practitioner to reassure you - they should be able to show you before and after pictures of the similar cases so you can see what is expected 3) maybe get into contact with previous patients to find out if they had similar experiences and if so - did it resolve. The clinic should be able to give you patient contacts. 4) you can use hyaluronidase that is the enzyme that breaks down the filler. This should ideally be done by the same person that put in the filler as they know where they injected. The downside to this enzyme is it breaks down hyaluronic acid everywhere that it comes into contact with so can cause some disruption in the normal anatomy as we have hyaluronic acid in out connective tissues. I hope this is of some help to you. Best wishes Rohit Seth Plastic, reconstructive, aesthetic and hair transplant surgery

Answer: Fillers in tear troughs and lips and puffiness Hi there. Sorry for your experience. After a significant amount of filler, you are probably still experiencing some swelling at this point. Give it a little more time and make sure you follow up with the treating physician. If there is still significant puffiness caused by any of the filler, it is fortunately dissolvable with hyaluronidase. Hoping this will settle down with some more time.

Answer: Filler Concerns At just ten days post-injection, you likely still have a considerable amount of edema. This is to be expected, and I wouldn't panic. Make sure to let your injector know your concerns. As time goes on you'll both be able to better assess whether or not a correction is indicated.

Answer: Unhappy with filler treatment results. What can I do? Honestly, it's hard to give you useful recommendations without evaluating you in person. I like Restylane Lyft as a filler for the midface/cheeks but do not use it for the tear troughs or lips. I prefer Restylane for the tear troughs and Restylane Silk or Restylane for the lips. It can take up to 14 days for swelling and bruising related to filler injections to resolve particularly when the lips and tear troughs are treated. I think the best thing for you to do is followup with your injector to discuss you concerns and to come up with appropriate plan to resolve them. Hyaluronic acid based fillers like Restylane Lyft can be reversed with hyaluronidase if need be.
