I still see lines where filler went. Concerned about the bumps and swelling after 2 weeks. Went back to see the doctor as I was very concerned that this is not normal after this time period. He didn’t seem to think this was not normal I was not happy with his response. What should I do? I was in so much pain after this and he was a highly recommended doctor. Upset and frustrated as this was expensive and I am still wrinkled, swollen and have lumps,

If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. Botox can be used to improve lip lines.. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

For these lip lines it requires a skilled provider and a specific technique to strengthen the skin rather than fill underneath the skin in order to soften the lines and avoid lumps.

Thank you for your question. It is difficult to treat lip lines with filler and often results in lumps. A better option for this area is Botox. As Restylane is not permanent you can have the filler dissolved with hyaluronidase. I recommend having a follow up with your injector for an evaluation. Best of Luck!

Lip lines are very difficult to treat with filler as it often results in lumps.  A better option is Botox but at this point you need to wait.  Hyaluronidase may help get the material out faster but it is also tricky in this area. see a board certified dermatologist who is experienced in the cosmetic arena
