I have active acne, which a doctor started me on differin gel 2 weeks ago. But I also have hyperpigmentation, pitted scars, rolling scars, large pores, and ice pick scars that I really want to work on. In two weeks I have an appointment with a plastic surgeon to start a plan to work on them but I’m afraid that the gel I am on now will cause any problems. Should I stop using it? What would happen if I continue to use it and do fillers and laser?

Swelling and bruising can last 1 to 2 weeks after lip filler injections. To diminish the bruising, I recommend using LightStim LED or, in more significant cases, a vascular laser or IPL treatment. Arnica with Bromelain ("Arnika Forte") can also be taken to help speed up the healing.

Fillers do not reliably and permanently change eyelid position. What you are describing is lower eyelid retraction surgery with canthoplasty and possibly lateral brow lift. Best to have personal consultation to determine.
