Hello. I had permalip implants in 2017. During sleep my 5 year old son accidentally hit me in the lips , mostly my lower lip. Ever since than I have had pain in my lower lip on the left side. No bruising or bumps. My plastic surgeon said it looks fine and not displaced. How would I know if the implant is displaced? What could cause this pain? I have had slight pain once in awhile in this area ever since surgery but it has been hurting ever since a week ago. Thank yoi

We're not big fans of Permalip, because it tends to feel like a gummy worm after it is implanted. In our practice, we utilize microdroplet Silikon-1000 for permanent and natural looking lip augmentation. Unlike temporary gel fillers, Silikon-1000 is never associated with infection, necrosis,...
Yes you are a great candidate for lip implants. I prefer the softer eptfe implants over the silicone ones though. They are easy to put in and easy to remove but most never want them removed.
Once removed, you still get the benefit of the implant having been in there for awhile since fibrous tissue buildup around the implant gives the appearance of fullness so you may not need fillers later. They are easy to put in and easy to remove. You won't have any of that wrinkled skin usually.
