I am having arm vaser lipo in 2 weeks, the supplier my surgeon recommended does not have the item in stock and will not be able to deliver in time for my surgery. Are there any arm compression garments you can recommend from perhaps Amazon, or any other supplier? Thank you in advance!

Answer: Compression garments after liposuction Most plastic surgeons supply compression garments for their patients to use after liposuction. It is your surgeons ultimate responsibility to get you set up with postoperative supplies. Different manufacturers use very different sizing models and so the size that fits you may not be accurate in a different brand. I suggest you contact your providers office and have them guide you through this process. That is their responsibility. Delivering consistent quality, liposuction results is more difficult than most people realize. The importance of provider selection cannot be overstated. Arm Liposuction is technically a little more challenging than other areas. Personally, I usually recommend people have multiple consultations before selecting a provider and scheduling surgery. Each plastic surgeon will have their own protocol in regards to postoperative garments like compression garments after liposuction. Some providers think they’re very important and some providers don’t. Some plastic surgeons have you wear compression garments for many months and others have you wear them for only a couple of weeks. There’s no proven benefit to wearing compression garments after liposuction. I suggest you direct your questions to your providers office. Your provider is responsible for your well-being, including after the surgery Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
