Pimple-like rash after chin lipo? 3 weeks post-op. (photos)

Question

I’m about 3 weeks post chin lipo. I’ve noticed these little bumps around my chin a few days after and I stopped wearing my chin strap about a week ago because of them and since then it’s still gotten worse.. I’m not taking any medication btw. I was wondering if I’m just like breaking out because of the strap or if this is something more serious?

Patients with questions and concerns about their chin lipo  healing process should address those concerns with the surgeon that performed the operation, ideally during a follow up consultation.

So i haven't seen this before but tether the strap or the surgery could have led to this. Either way, keep the strap off for a day or two and cleanse and this should improve. Liposuction will irritate the hair follicles and i suspect this is what is going on. Hope that helps. Adam Goodwin

It is not uncommon that a patient will break out in this manner after the procedure you underwent. A topical steroid cream treatment may be beneficial in getting the rash to subside. If it persists, however, you may want to seek the opinion of a Dermatologist.
