I received 20 units of Botox for the first time in my forehead and between the brows 24 hours ago. I remained upright for 4 hours and followed all aftercare instructions. An hour or so after the injection, it felt like the Botox was spreading throughout my face and down into my cheeks. Today, I feel the most tightness/heaviness in my forehead and upper eyelids right beneath my brows but have a little tightness in my cheeks, also. I am wondering if these are normal sensations? Thanks.

Answer: Heavy sensation after Botox application Hello! This is not a normal sensation after a botox application. It is important to have a followup visit with the doctor who applied the botox. You need to explain the sensation that you are experiencing and the doctor will evaluate your face to give you the best indications. WIthout a proper `post treatment evaluation, it is difficult to give you the proper information and followup. Please keep us posted. Good luck

Answer: Recovery following Botox treatment 24 hours after botox many people can sense tension, heaviness or headaches. this does not mean something bad is happening; rather, it is typically a normal reaction to an injection. If there's any concern for brow drooping or anything like that you should go see your physician, but remember that botox typically doesn't show any significant effect at 24 hours. 3 days is when most people start to see results which maximize at about 10 days.
