Can Botox inj between the eyebrows cause dilation of one eye, THREE and FOUR months after the injection?

Botox inj. between my eyebrows was Sept. 3, 2014. I've had 3 inj. ( 4 - 7 months apart). No issues except mild headache once. Late Nov. left eye completely dilated for approx. 8-10 hrs. Only symptom had been itching eyes for several days. (perhaps allergies)? Since then I've had periodic headaches mainly behind my right eye. In the last three weeks my right eye has now dilated 5+ times periodically, lasting only minutes. CT sinuses was clear. Any Likelihood of late effect of Botox?

I don't think at this point that it would be related to Botox. I suggest you see your doctor about this, or better yet, an eye doctor.

I do not think that the pupil dilation is related to the Botox injections, However I do think that you need to see a  Neuro-Ophthalmologist soon for a thorough evaluation including visual field, vision, MRI, and optic nerve evaluation.

Dear dlhrealselfIt is highly unlikely for Botox injections to cause intermittent dilation of  your pupil, in particular months after injection. It sounds like you have seen at least one doc that recommended a CT scan (sinuses) and there were no positive findings. I would suggest you follow up closely with your doctor and would consider a neurology consultation to help as well.hope this resolves quickly!

This is a concerning problem that needs to be evaluated by an Ophthalmologist or Neurologist soon. This can be due to something going on intracranially.  If a drop of Botox were to get in the eye, it is possible to cause dilation, but this happens within days. Please see someone soon.

No. The Botox is not causing your eye to dilate. There are a number of causes for this and to determine the cause you should begin an evaluation with an ophthalmologist promptly. Subsequent work-up by a neurologist may prove beneficial depending on what the ophthalmologist finds.
