The small volume of blood taken for PRP injections is not likely to affect your energy level significantly, although I do recommend to increase hydration for the day after PRP to a) help replenish the plasma volume and b) to facilitate good hydration status which is always a good thing when we're talking about getting plenty of blood flow to the tissues we're working on! It may take 8 weeks to replenish the RBC - red blood cell volume - after donating a unit of blood but we're not using RBC in PRP treatments; we're using the plasma. Provided good hydration post treatment, the plasma volume should be replenished within 48 hours.

PRP can be taken after blood is sent to the lab. PRP contains millions of platelets in it that are not compromised by having lab tests performed.

We all have a huge number of platelets in our bloodstream. The number of platelets that are removed for the hair PRP process, is very insignificant, relative to the number of platelets that are in our bloodstream. Same when you have a blood test. You have nothing to worry about. Even donating platelets to the Red Cross for donations, after a few days, is unlikely to have any impact on the blood used for PRP for hair growth.

When blood is taken, there is no real reduction in platelets. You don't need the number of platelets that you already have. They are short lived in the body and replace often
