I have blisters or rash 2 weeks post Fraxel 1550. Will they leave scars? (Photo)

I had my second treatment with the 1550 Fraxel laser two weeks ago. I had a tanned look and more significant flaking/peeling than first round. All looked great after a week, but then I got an itchy, rough feeling with redness. Patches of itchy rash are showing on my chin, nose, above my lips, and cheeks. They seem to be small fluid filled blisters and involve all of my face except my forehead. Some are larger than others. I have been taking Benadryl. I'm worried about scarring. Can you advise me?

I suggest seeing your physician to ensure this isn't a herpes infection or contact irritation.  If treated early you will not get scars.  If it goes untreated and you scratch or break the skin you can get scars.  It appears to me from the picture you are a better candidate for co2 laser treatment with PRP/Microneedling and filler injections.  I suggest speaking to your physician about your concerns and best long term treatments.  Best, Dr. Emer.
