Structured saline implants coming back?

Hello doctors, With the recent closure of Ideal implant, are there any murmurs that another company may try to bring back structured saline implants? I have no desire for silicone and had just started doing consultations with surgeons in my area regarding the ideal implant, when I found out the company shut down.

Saline implants are not new and have been present since the 60's. "Ideal" implants were not ideal and that was part of the problem. If you do not want silicone implants, go with saline. I would recommend a proven company like Mentor or Abbvie, was Allergan, whose products have stood the test of time and proven to be durable and reliable than going with a brand new company who may not survive.  Plus, it takes time for new implants to be approved by the FDA.

Implants come and go. Traditional saline implants are still available and in the right hands can give excellent results. While most of my patients now select the new gels, I still do saline. With the right amount of natural breast tissue and placement under the muscle, you might find this the ideal option.
