Answer: Lipo revision Dear Vivid632639, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Abdomen An examination is needed to be certain, but a tummy tuck would probably help tighten your abdomen, remove excess skin and could minimize the mid abdominal fullness.

Answer: The importance of choosing the right provider. Delivering consistent quality liposuction results is more difficult than most people believe. I don’t know how much experience your provider had but your procedure was extremely heavy handed and it appears that your surgeon was attempting to do a high definition or etching type of liposuction. Did you have an in person consultation with the surgeon before the procedure? During that consultation how many before and after pictures of previous work did they show you? Correct and poorly done Liposuction is very difficult and sometimes not possible. Your provider used to energy-based aggressive devices and then attempted to more or less remove all of your fat in certain areas. Fibrosis is not a condition that happens to happen to some people the term is used after inappropriate liposuction were basically all the fat has been removed in the body‘s response to the treatment is to form scar tissue. Instead of having soft natural fat between the skin of the muscle there is now more or less only scar tissue. It isn’t the scar tissue that’s the problem but rather that far too much fat was removed and this is how high definition body contouring is done. Personally I’m not a fan of high definition to work because it leaves people disfigured and it is irreparable and virtually impossible to correct afterwards. There’s a handful of doctors starting with one particular surgeon from Columbia who’s been going around the world telling all the plastic surgeons this is how it should be done. I don’t think it ever looks natural or is appropriate. In your case I think it’s going to be very difficult to make any improvements and if this is the best your provider could do than I am afraid your provider can probably only make things worse. In reality there probably isn’t much that can be done to improve your outcome at all. You are now lacking fat or you should have it and it’s more or less impossible to graft fat into scar tissue. It may be better to cut bait and simply live with the outcome rather than spending thousands of dollars on procedures that will not improve your outcome and have a good chance of making things worse. If you do decide to move forward you need to make absolutely sure that that provider has the skill and experience to make things better not worse. Anybody seeking to have liposuction should in my opinion be very selective of who they choose to do the surgery. I recommend all patients have multiple in person consultations. During each consultation ask each provider to show their entire collection of before and after pictures. Being shown a handful of sample pictures which most likely represent the best results of their career is totally insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like in the hands of that provider. Providers may be apprehensive of simply opening up their portfolios and showing it all before and after pictures but you should at least ask them to show as many as they are willing to. I asked to see as many pictures as possible of patients with similar body characteristics to your own. Ask them to see examples of excellent outcomes, average outcomes and less than outcomes. ask them what the revision rate is and asked to see pictures of patients who ended up having revisions. You should also ask what the revision policy is in case somebody’s not happy with the outcome. And experience provider should have no difficulty showing you a minimum of 50 sets of before and after pictures. Highly experienced surgeons should have hundreds or even thousands of before and after pictures. At this point it may not be possible to improve on your outcome. I would highly encourage you to go back and speak with the surgeon and let them know how you feel about the outcome. If they offer you a revision and ask to see other patients who’ve had these revisions and what it looked like. you may want to ask how long the provider has owned the Renuvion device. I personally purchased the Renuvion device a few years ago and used it for one year. I literally saw no advantage to using it with no skin tightening. None of my patients noticed any difference from using the device in comparison to Liposuction alone. Personally I do not believe Renuvion delivers any advantage to liposuction alone. The device increases pain during and after the procedure and causes complications. I would encourage most people to skip Renuvion if offered. I would encourage you to try to negotiate a refund from your surgeon and I would also highly encourage you to write reviews about your experience on all the major forms where people read about plastic surgeons such as this website and other websites like yelp, Google reviews etc. I’m sure you would’ve appreciated other patients who had similar experiences share with their outcomes were like when you were deciding if this is the right procedure and provider for your needs. Like I said earlier delivering consistent quality liposuction results is far more difficult than most people believe and the truth is a substantial number of plastic surgeons are not capable of doing so despite board certification and an overall good reputation.
