How can I flatten my philtrum? (Photo)

Question

I don't really know if it's my philtrum or my teeth but whenever I smile I would look like a gorilla in side view. I'm also having a difficulty in smiling since I have narrow lips. Please help me. What procedure can I do for these things? I don't want to change the shape of my mouth coz I don't want anyone to know that I had surgery.

Hi,Ultherapy even though it does not remove fat, has some ability to reduce volume with collagen activation. You could benefit from perioral collagen stimulation therapy. Also, off label injection such as Xeomin or Botox small units injection at the philtrum will help reduce the elevation and the area will appear less elevated. With the above injection, your provider can inject not more than 4units total to cause muscle relaxation which could camouflage the pronounced elevation of the philtrum, results may last 3-4 months and you will have to repeat again. Or you could invest by getting ultherapy perioral area, that should help cause volume reduction. Ultherapy results could last 2 years, then you will have to repeat again. Otherwise, dermal fillers will not be ideal, thus it could make the lips have more volume and the philtrum will be more elevated as well, hope this helped.
