I'm Filipino. My nose is flat and wide, and is bulbous. Can I achieve a nose like this girl in the pictures with asian rhinoplasty using only ear cartilage and septal cartilage? I want the bridge taller and a bit thinner, and i want the tip more refined, like the girl in the pictures. Are my expectations realistic enough?
Answer: Realistic Expectations in Asaisn Rhinoplasty In reviewing the photos you have sent, I believe your expectations are very realistic. As previously discussed, your tip can be thinned, refinned and projection added, likely with septal cartilage alone, in combination with suturing techniques. Additional cartilage from the ear would be used if necessary, of course. There are several choices for augmenting the nasal dorsum, ranging from use of your own tissues (cartilage, fascia, dermal/fat) to synthetic grafts. With proper surgery techniques and healing, you should have an outstanding result.

Answer: Asian rhinoplasty using diced cartilage fascia (DCF) and autologous grafts Based on the photos provided, using grafts fashioned from cartilage from both your ears and septum, and fascia harvested from your scalp, it is possible to achieve a result similar to the photos you have provided. The diced cartilage wrapped in fascia (DCF) can be used to augment the bridge of your nose to make it taller and thinner, while a combination of grafts can be used to project and refine the tip of your nose.

Answer: I'm Filipino-Can I achieve a nose like this with Asian Rhinoplasty? You nose is already cute.It just needs some refinement: Raise the bridge a little, narrow and refine the tip, and narrow the bridge. This will bring your nose into nice balance with your face.

Answer: Asian rhinoplasty It is possible to use septal and auricular cartilage to augment the nasal dorsum and refine the tip in Asian rhinoplasty. However, often the septal cartilage is very flimsy and inadequate. There are other options including costal cartilage and synthetic implants. You should have your nose evaluated by a board certified surgeon with expertise in Asian rhinoplasty.
