15 months post op, feel tightness down my sternocleidomastoid. Could fat atrophy be from the Kenalog injections?

I am 15 months post FL & necklift. My skin was closed under a lot of tension, resulting in thick scars & a pulling sensation. My surgeon gave me kenalog injections (3 in each hairline scar) every two weeks for 3 months. The scars remain thick & with a pulling sensation, but now i also feel tightness down my sternocleidomastoid down into my clavicle. I’m wondering if this could be due to fat atrophy from the kenalog & if fat injections might help? If not, is there any explanation?
