Hello. I had a BH lip lift procedure 2.5 years ago performed by a BC highly respected facial PS in Philly. For about 24 hours after the surgery the LS of my upper lip had no color at all - it was nearly white from my alar crease/nostril down to and including my lip. The color came back in a day or two. The right side recovered but I never regained full feeling for movement there and a lump formed next to my alar crease. I was told to wait 12 months and massage (which I did) but nothing changed. After a year PS injected kenalog to the lump a few times and then said there was nothing more he could do and that I'm likely making too much out of this. I went to an neurologist who took an MRI and there is a void in the place of the lump but the nerves aren't visible on MRI and he doesn't really treat those nerves anyway and referred me to an ENT and another PS. I went to both of those with my lax left lip and my MRI scans and no one wants to touch this. I'm just so frustrated with the loss of feeling and movement in my lip and it seems that this lump could be related to it. I wish I never had this done now. When I talk/sing my mouth is lopsided. There is just no elevation - some motion works because the other muscles pull my lip along for the ride which looks OK but feels really uncomfortable. I'm so frustrated at the outcome and that no one will even try to help me. I'd rather have a new incision scar at the lump than be left like this.
