What needle size and frequency is recommended to treat a receding hairline?
Answer: Micro needling for hair loss? Englewood Cliffs New Jersey In my opinion, for non professional use at home, a .3 mm micro-needle roller is suggested. Use it daily and roll in four directions. Adding topical minoxidil after the rolling will enhance the response.PRP hair MD.com

Answer: Micro needling for hair loss Hi and thanks for your question. I don't think that micro needling will be very effective for your receding hairline. I do PRP injections and hair transplants which would be far more effective for your issue. I would be happy to see you for a consultation as my office is in Wayne, PA in the Philadelphia suburbs.

Answer: Microneedling for Hair Loss Micro-needling is a poor man's PRP treatment. The needles puncture the skin creating micro-wounds that attract platelets (just like PRP) to the wound site. The needles need to be long enough to create a wound that penetrates the skin - 0.3-0.5 mm. It's okay to draw some blood but not to the point of actual bleeding. I suggest using this technique every other day to give the body time to heal. It can be used on any area of the head that is thinning. If no results after 3-4 months, then it is probably not working.
