It is completely normal to have significant swelling, sometimes bruising and numbness after liposuction. The actual skin tightening from laser lipo can take several months to complete. Your swelling should be much less noticeable in about 2 o3 weeks but completely resolved not until 3 or 4 months.

 Although there are no pre operative photos to see what you looked like prior to the procedure your swelling looks appropriate for 48hrs post procedure.  I recommend wearing a compression garment over the area to help with the swelling and support the area that you had lipo on.  The majority of your swelling should improve by 6 weeks but the skin will continue to undergo changes for up to 6 months. During my consult I always let patients know that they should expect some swelling to the area that is being treated, maximum swelling occurs around 24-48 hrs post procedure.

Thanks for the question and the photos and what you have is perfectly normal after the procedure that was performed.  Your provider should have reviewed all of this with you and should have you wearing the appropriate compression garments to minimize this. Ice will also help.  And we like using some of the RF skin tightening procedures post-lipo to help when needed.  But your swelling will improve and you should do just fine.

Your swelling is normal after laser lipo for two days post-op. Make sure you wear a neck band that is standard for these procedures ( tyoically for 48 hours) and then for 10 days only at night. Stay away from salty foods and try to sleep on a couple pillows more upright than not. Things will look better by a week or so.
