Fine lines tend to appear with repeated muscle movement.  To address fine lines/crows feet (lines at the corners of your eyes when smiling or squinting), a small amount of botox can be injected into the obicularis oculi muscle (surrounding the eye) to restrict your muscle movement a bit, lessen the lines and prevent the lines from becoming etched in.  Resurfacing lasers (i.e. fraxel or Clear and Brilliant) can also help treat fine lines and stimulate your body's natural collagen production.    Make sure to seek out an expert injector for your care.  Best of luck!

There are generally three methods to reduce undereye bags and wrinkles.
1. Utilizing peels, lasers or any other ablative or semi ablative techniques to stimulate new collagen growth. Though effective, most people want to have little to no downtime and in order to get a very effective result with which most patients would be extremely satisfied, these techniques will fall short of their stated goals. These techniques are wonderful if they are utilized in an appropriate strength. 
2. Carefully injecting a temporary filler (such as Belotero® or Restylane®) underneath the skin in hollow areas with magnification. This could be quite effective but does involve the risk of producing irregularities and lumps and will necessitate a certain amount of bruising. A permanent filler such as Bellafill ® or even a fat transfer utilizing purified fat from your body are also options. 3. Performing a simple surgery under local anesthesia called a pinch blepharoplasty. In this operation, a small strip of skin is removed directly underneath the lower eyelash line and results in a nearly invisible scar. The recovery is very rapid (a couple of days) and involves one single stitch which is removed in five days. This approach is actually the least complicated in appropriate hands and will produce the most consistent and significant of results in reducing lower eyelid bags and wrinkles.

Under eye wrinkles can be permanently corrected with surgery or temporarily camouflaged with fillers.There are great non-surgical options to fill in under eye depressions and hollowness. Using dermal fillers, a liquid eye-lift can be performed. A dermal filler such as Restylane would be placed in the cheek and tear trough to hide the depression or bag underneath your eye.
Surgery would require a fat-repositioning lower lid blepharoplasty. In this surgical procedure, fat from the eye area is moved into the tear trough depression filling the actual depression.

A combination approach will give the most improvement. Fillers, lasers, and microneedling/PRP can improve under the eyes. My patients try to get non surgical treatments to avoid surgery. Hello! Wrinkles that form with movement such as smiling are best treated with Botox. I agree that skin resurfacing if very helpful as well, especially for fine wrinkles seen when NOT smiling. Finally, don't forget sunscreen to protect the skin and prevent further wrinkles. Good luck!

If the wrinkles are only present when smiling they will be best treated with botox injections to the lateral orbicularis muscle.  This will diminish the crow's feet lines.  You could consider skin resurfacing as well but I think that may be more than you need at this point.

It is always best to start from least invasive to most invasive when addressing such issues.  To begin, you should consider botox for what we call the "crows feet" area of your eyes.  Following this you should consider using laser resurfacing or a chemical peel to help soften the wrinkles under your eyes.  The lasers/peels will help with collagen growth which will also make that skin more youthful.  This may take a few treatments to achieve.   Ultimately, if these do not work sufficiently for you, you can consider surgical excision of the excess skin.  All of these procedures can be done safely, even in such close proximity to the eyes.  Be sure to consult with a board certified physician or surgeon for the safest options.
