Why won't the clinic show me other patients before and after photos? Should I be concerned?

I went for a consultation on sculptra and when i asked for before and after photos i was told their patients dont want anyone to know what theyve had done so they can't show me any photos. Is that right? I understand if patients don't want their before and afters posted on social media but why can't the clinicians show prospective patients their before and after photos? I thought it was a good question so I can see their work. Is this a normal reason or should I look for another provider? They're a pretty well respected and known clinic here where I live.

While it’s true that some patients prefer strict privacy, especially with subtle cosmetic procedures like Sculptra, most reputable clinics do obtain consent from a select number of patients to share their photos confidentially, at least during in-person consultations, even if they don’t post them online or on social media.

If a clinic is unable or unwilling to show you any examples of their work, even privately, it may be a red flag or simply a matter of their internal policies. However, as a patient, you deserve to feel fully informed and confident in your provider’s skill and aesthetic results.

I would agree with you that absence of before, and after photographs with respect to any procedure, should raise a red flag. Anyone can say anything they desire and unfortunately, too many people do just that. They will promise you anything yet. They have absolutely no experience.
