I’m 5’4", 135 lbs and have 400cc implants, looking to go to 600 to 650cc. Will they be too big for my frame?

Exchanging for 50% larger implants will definitely improve fullness. Gels tend to look more natural than similar cc saline’s.It depends upon your measurements and existing anatomy which can be confirmed and discussed duringn consultation with a plastic surgeon.We also offer virtual consultations.

Dear Rleraris,   Posting your front and side view pictures would have been helpful. Also, you did not provide your chest circumference measurement in inches, so it is impossible to tell you what will be your size with the new larger implants.    It is quite common for patients to go bigger with breasts implants, because many are timid of going big initially and once that they get comfortable with their breasts size, they feel more at ease going bigger. It is necessary , though, with big enlargement to perform complete capsulotomy (scar release), in order to make room for the bigger implants.    Always, consult with experienced board certified plastic surgeons who operate in accredited surgery center for your safety. Most importantly, check the before and after pictures of redo breasts augmentation in the photo gallery, to make sure that they are numerous, consistent and attractive with nice cleavage, perky, symmetrical and natural looking.                    Best of luck,                                    Dr Widder

breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small.You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.

Without examining you or seeing photos its difficult to give specific advice but you sound like a fairly small woman and those are going to be fairly large implants. The profile of the implants will contribute more than anything to whether the shape of the breasts is more natural or fake looking so do not choose extra full or ultra full profile. I would suggest having an in-person consultation by a local breast implant revision expert to be properly assessed. Hope that helps! 

Hi and thanks for the question. This is impossible to answer because it's really subjective. What looks good to one patient looks too big/fake to another. It's also not realistic to give you good feedback without seeing photos of how your current implants fit you. That being said, if you feel like 400 fits you now, an extra 200cc is unlikely to make you feel too big. The best thing you can do is discuss this with your plastic surgeon. There are fitting options such as the Mentor sizers that can give you some idea in the office setting of what extra volume will look like. Best of luck to you.

A bit too difficult to answer this question without photos for sure, and clearly a full consultation will be required to fully evaluate the tissues, your anatomy and all of your goals.  Certainly the 600-650 cc implants are large for most frames, but may match up with some people's goals.  Best wishes. Photos would be useful but I suspect that 600-650 cc implants will create a fake look and will contain too much volume in proportion to your height and weight.
