A few lines radiating from the corners of my eyes I could deal with but, as you can see, when I smile the crows feet radiate throughout my temple. I have a lot of scarring there from past cystic acne and thought maybe that has something to do with it? Is there anything that can be done about these? Thank you!

Answer: Addressing Crow's Feet Hello Trizzi, My name is Lauren, and I’m the aesthetics injector at Colorado Plastic Surgery Center. Crow's feet are a common concern among patients. Crow's feet often become more noticeable when you smile, but treatments like Botox or Dysport can help by relaxing the muscles around the eyes and softening the lines.

Answer: Best Treatments for Crow’s Feet and Acne Scars Yes, crow’s feet can be effectively treated with a variety of options depending on their severity and underlying causes. Since you mentioned scarring from past cystic acne, the skin’s texture and elasticity may also be contributing to the way the wrinkles form when you smile. Here are some treatment options: Botox/Dysport/Xeomin – The most effective option for reducing dynamic crow’s feet (wrinkles that appear when you smile). It temporarily relaxes the muscles around the eyes, softening the lines. Laser Resurfacing (CO2 or Fraxel) – Helps improve both fine lines and acne scars by stimulating collagen and smoothing skin texture. Microneedling with PRP – Can help improve skin quality and fine lines while also addressing acne scarring. Dermal Fillers – If volume loss contributes to the wrinkling, subtle hyaluronic acid fillers can smooth the area. Retinol & Medical-Grade Skincare – Topical retinoids, peptides, and growth factors can help improve skin elasticity and prevent further deepening of wrinkles. A combination of Botox and skin-rejuvenating treatments like lasers or microneedling may give you the best results. A dermatologist or aesthetic specialist can evaluate your skin in person to create a customized plan.
