I have whiteheads where the injection is supposed to be I couldn’t get rid of them with acne products so I left them alone plusss my skin is super oily. Will this affect the rhinoplasty? Also I used to used fungal acne treatment but stopped for two weeks am I ok? The photos make them look insignificant but they exist and are definitely Whitehead’s/acne I have flat bridge but I showed on the photo the problem area
Answer: You do not appear to have acne involving the skin that you photographed. Acne and pimples would be a reason to hold off on an injectable filler treatment since they have bacteria, and this could lead to an infection. The decision to treat these cysts on your nose before your treatment is completely up to you and your physician. Thank you for your question. Sincerely, Dr. Joseph

Answer: Non Surgical Nosejob Candidate with Acne-- with Fillers (voluma, restylane, juvederm) This is best answered with an in-person evaluation, but you may be able to have non-surgical rhinoplasty. Facial fillers (voluma, restylane, juvederm) can be used to improve the symmetry of the nose. Surgery would be needed to improve nostrils or overall shape. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Non-surgical rhinoplasty This is best decided in the office during your examination for your non-surgical rhinoplasty. I would avoid any type of filler injection in an area with active infection or inflammation. Your whiteheads may be stable comedones which in that case, would be safe to inject if performed properly. Hope this helps!Johnson C. Lee, MD Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon @drjohnsonlee

Answer: Non-surgical Rhinoplasty and Acne It is always hard to tell just from looking at a picture but the bumps appear to possibly be milia and not acne. Each injector has their own protocol for when they will and will not inject, but I think it is always a wise idea not to inject an area which is infected. Although not a significant infection, if there is an acne breakout over an area I typically will not inject filler at that site. The filler product does resorb over time but should be thought of as a temporary implant. As such you would not want to risk having the implant (filler) get infected. I would recommend seeing an injector in your area and having them evaluate your skin. If it is just milia you should be fine to get a nonsurgical rhinoplasty, however if it is true acne I would recommend getting control of that area before proceeding with the filler. I hope this helps, good luck!!

Answer: Does having acne on nose at injection site negatively affect nonsurgical rhinoplasty? Hi jjsdjfjdsf, It's really the prerogative of your doctor whether he/she could perform the liquid nose job safely, given the presence of acne. Injection where there is possible infection (especially in the triangle of the nose) is best avoided because serious infection can set in. All the best, Justin Harper, M.D.
