Can someone advise on the problem here. I've gotten my tear trough filled for the first time on Saturday. 3 days ago. They don't look any better and I think they could look worse. My dark circles seem darker. Could it be the wrong filler used or could it be an issue with placement? Please advise. Thanks

Answer: Filler in the tear trough From your photos it would appear that the filler was injected too superficially. You should wait at least 2 weeks to see if the filler and swelling settle before making any changes. The filler can be dissolved to remove it or smooth out the area. You don't say what filler was used but typically in this area a thinner filler such as restylane , vobella, or belotero are the best options .

Answer: Fillers in the tear troughs Thanks for your question. First of all, I agree with the other answer that it is too early to tell the outcome of fillers in the tear trough. Give it about 2-3 weeks to settle in. Fillers in the tear trough can be quite tricky. Placement is crucial as well as not trying to use too much. I find placing it deep and close to the orbital rim produces the most natural results. Restylane is the most widely used though Refyne and Belotero also work. Give it more time and make sure you are using someone with plenty of experience in the tear troughs.
