Botox for men: how many units would I need?

Hi doctors.I have two questions: 1. I have received Botox in the past however I feel they injector did not use enough Botox. I have also heard males require more. What is the max number of units suggested for the following areas on men: Forehead Glabella Crow's Feet Jelly Nose Tip Lift Lip Flip Masseters 2. I received Botox on Friday at 12pm. 3+ days later, on Monday at 7pm, I worked out on the treadmill for 20 minutes and went into the steamroom for several minutes. Is this safe?

Men may sometimes require more Botox than women as they tend to have more muscle mass. The average amount for the forehead, glabella, crow's feet are each approximately 10-25 units, lip flip approximately 5 units, and masseters may require 30-50 units each side. These, of course, are ball park ranges and the best way to know for sure is to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon. With regard to exercise, it is best to wait until the next day following treatment.

An effective dose for one person is not always the same for another. Hopefully you will return to your injector to be reassessed. I would encourage you to wait 2-3 weeks so the treatment will have a full response. This is the best way to create an optimal dose for you going forward.

The number of Botox units required for improvement will vary by person.  It is true that males may require more units as their muscles are thicker.  If you feel you were undertreated you can return to your injector two weeks later for an evaluation and touch up.  Together you can find the right number of units to help you achieve desired results.  As for working out and and going to the steam room three days after treatment, this should not impact your results.

A face to face consult and examination is always best however in this scenario everyone will need a different dose- however you are right man require a bit more usually. The best approach is to have a standard dose then follow up with your injector in 2-4weeks to see how effective the treatment has been. If you are including the masseter that alone is 50 to 60 units. all the other areas about another 90 to 100 units for a nice application.  No working out or anything for 4 to 6 hours post,
