I had smartlipo 12 days ago. At day 6 started experiencing sharp pain that comes and goes just below the xiphoid process. It is somewhat relieved when take off my compression garment. My doc said to take pepcid twice daily, and try spanx. It has let up some but still comes back after wearing the spanx several hours. I'm healing very well, and no pain from the procedure. I did take one hydrocodone the day of procedure and one the day following. Then took Advil once on day 2. No more after that.

I do not usually place foam padding under the compression garment, and I usually do not allow patients to take NSAID's for about a week or so after lipo. Best to review with your surgeon.
