The first set fabricated had dark triangles and gapping.My dentist sent them off to another lab. I though the new lab would be re making them but I found out that he is only having her try to fix the old ones! I asked for bl3 and the dentist said bl4 would be better so I took his word for it. In the photo below, you can see the the veneers look more a1 than a bleach shade.What do I do if, upon seeing the veneers Thursday, they are still not what I want? If I allow him to cement them I'm stuck!

If holding the shade tab up next to the veneer doesn't answer your question then use a shade gun. Many dentists like myself have a digital shade matching gun. It will test the shade of porcelain and measure shade in teeth.
Porcelain veneers should not hurt. Your discomfort could be due to proximity to the nerve, or a bite (occlusion) issue. You need to have xrays post op done on the veneers for evaluation, and your bite checked. If it is due to bite, a simple adjustment will take care of it, if it is due to nerve,...
Veneers can indeed help with your asymetrical smile line of the teeth but they cannot correct the asymetrical gum line. That would need to be accomplished with laser removal of some gum tissue and likely some crown lenghthening by removing some of the bone around the teeth on the right...
