In receiving a botox injection in the area above my eyes, the syringe leaked fluid (botox) into my eye. What damage exactly could this accident cause? The doctor did not seem to be concerned when it happened or did not want to take responsibility. Ive been having eyesight issues since then

This will cause no harm.
Botox needs to be injected with a hypodermic needle in order to have an effect on the neuromuscular junction.
Just alert your provider and wipe off the excess fluid (contains normal saline).

It happens occasionally that a drop of Botox will escape the syringe and fall into the patient's eye. In the last 25 years I've never had a problem with a patient developing any kind of symptoms from that happening. I think you're perfectly safe. Good luck from New York City

Do not worry about that. There's no evidence to suggest that you will come to any harm. Botox has to be placed directly in muscle to have an effect.

I don't believe you have anything to worry about. Probably the only negative from the Botox leaking from the syringe is that some of the Botox went to waste.

Hello. The cornea and conjunctiva aren't likely going to absorb much of the botox that dripped into your eye. Botox needs to be placed in the muscle for it to work. Also, a small leak or drip of botox is a very small amount of botox. Our eyes are very good (with tears) at flushing out liquids/dust that get in them, I'm guessing your eye was able to flush this small amount of botox out. But, if you are having any trouble with your eyesight, I would recommend seeing an eye doctor just to be safe.
