Please help I'm 36 , female, had a lot of issues with my lower , wore a parti since I was 28 . Finally my remaining 6 lower teeth failed and I got all on 6 (implants were put in ) Surgery was done may 2 and today is may 19 I'm in pain I take 3 Advil every 3-4 hours and wake up in pain Dr said if by Friday it doesn't settle he will remove implant I'm so tired of this mouth pains , please recommend something if you can. This is so scary and tiresome and so painful Thank you in advance!

Answer: Not the Norm
Pain almost 3 weeks after dental implants is not normal. If you are having this much discomfort then something needs to be addressed. A failing implant or infected implant could cause this pain. It seems as if your doctor knows what the issue is if he is possibly going to remove one of the implants. All On Four, All On Six, etc usually do not cause much discomfort either. The usual discomfort is mild to moderate and lasts for a few days, sometimes up to a week. Anything past this needs to be looked at closely.

The short answer is this is not a good sign however sometimes the pain is from you wearing the temporary teeth and sometimes it is from the implant. I suggest not wearing teeth on the lower for a few days to see if the pain goes away... Good Luck
