I had severely receding gums and have lost a couple of teeth. My gum line is really high, my teeth look brown and huge! My dentist has suggested veneers to fix the appearance of my teeth. However, i hate how long my teeth are and think they will look even bigger with veneers fitted. Would you ever recommend all-on-4 implants for someone who could still salvage enough teeth to not need them? I feel like they will look better than veneers. Thank you!
Hi, I am 53 years old, Ive had my permanent all on 4 dentures for 3 months. They are on the bottom only and everything I eat is stuck under them, All day and night I am brushing, Water picking, Flossing and Rinsing. It is so uncomfortable and I cant go out to eat any meals. Im so depressed and my Dentist wont fix them he says he stands behind his work. Any suggestions. Thanks
I'm a 74 yr old woman who had all on 4 surgery and same day placement of temporaries 10 months ago. For the last 6 months I've had to have them drilled down because I kept catching my teeth and tongue and the molars wouldn't allow me to close my jaw normally. The biting has been better but my molars still clunk together. My dentist said if at my next visit I'm still uncomfortable we have to make new temps. That could take 3-4 weeks. I the molar problem really a problem?
Does anybody have experience of the all on four implants? Today I had a consultation with a dentist. She told me there are two choices for the all on four implants. The choices are acrylic and ceramic. She told me people who go for the acrylic all on four implants normally get them replaced about every 3 years. Is that true? I thought the all on four was fitted for life? I have seen dentists who offer a lifetime guarantee for the all on four. Which is better acrylic all on four or ceramic all on four?
The dentist that did it didn't leave a gap they are tight as with removable type. Also I assumed the only way to fix was with screws only to find out on the day of placement he was going to glue them, at present he has done a temporary cement. I think glued on would be disastrous particularly with no gap for cleaning as food will inevitably get forced under. Thank you
I am 33 and my teeth have been failing for as long as I can recall. My top are either rotten, broken, or need extensive work and crowns. I asked my dentist if she would refer me to a periodontist. She refused and said it was ridiculous to even consider this at my age and I should be very worried about the procedure failing. She told me no respectable doctor would extract my top teeth and do all on 4. Im too young to have these terrible teeth! But am I too young for all on 4?
I received the all on six dental implants and the temporary only made my over bite more noticeable, and the constant feeling like I have buck teeth. Is it impossible to design a permanent denture that would improve my overbite. Because I had this procedure done wearing braces for a third time is no longer an option. Please help I do want to live with bucket teeth again. The dentist I am working with now refuses to see how ugly I look.
When I do research on the internet for All-on-4 implants I find several different materials/implants marketed but no real comparison of the pros and cons of each. For example: ZIRPEEK, XircOn Ultra or Ultimate, G4 PMMA vs G4 Ultra Zirconia, but comparisons are hard to come by. This is a huge, lifetime investment - what's the best way to research the options?
