I have upper pernament acrylic bridge on 4 implants, would like to upgrade to zirconia. Went for consultation and the doctor told me that he can place zirconia bridge without the pink fake gums. I had bone graft during initial surgery. That would be ideal, but, Im getting conflicting information online.
I got the allon on 4 procedure and I was unable to get a temp on top because it needs to heal so I only got the bottom temps put in and a denture. The bottom temps look yellow and huge. I am afraid to tell my dentist how I feel about them but I hate them I know they are temps but Im afraid the permanents arent going to turn out like I want. They have it printed that I will do a lab consult and 3d mockup what is this?will I be able to see what its going to look like? Why are my bottoms so big?
I want to have All on Six upper and lower. My friend had hers done a month ago, and her acrylic temporary arches keep breaking. The very 'reputable' surgeon also doesn't appear to be correcting her overbite, which he said he could. In fact, her temporary bridges are both protruding, and she has a hard time talking/chewing. Is this all a normal part of the process for this procedure???? After seeing her nightmare, I'm worried.
Im moving from Ecuador to USA in few months. I had my all on 4 procedure done two years ago with implants from Brazil. As far as I know, they dont have this type of implants in USA, my concern is what happens if something goes wrong. Should I buy any necessary parts eg srews from local distributor? If my acrylic bridge breaks, will I need to fly back to see my dentist?
If i had a temoorary All on 4 that broke and due to a change of financial status I a m now unable to afford to complete my treatment plan. My temporary prosthesis broke and ended up gluing it. I cannot afford to pay for my final prosthesis since i lost my job and everything. My prosthesis is so bad and i'm embarrassed a nd i can't even find a new job because of it. Can someone who had a n implant just get a regular dentures? I just need to feel confident with my teeth.
I've been wearing all on fours for 11 weeks now and they make a 'clacking' sound when speaking. Words with the letter J or S are very difficult. Sh Ch words or any words that require my jaw to jet forward makes them very loud. It's not only heard by me but by others. My dentist does not want to file down the teeth and close my bite, so what is the answer? I can not/will not continue like this. Is a new set in order? And if so, what needs to be done differently to avoid this happening again?
Why do some dentists recommend Zirconium tops and PMMA bottoms? Reviews contain a mix of all Zirconium, all PMMA, and a different material on each arch. I understand Zirconium is more expensive. Does price drive the choice? Do the materials give an obvious aesthetic difference? Some say Zirconium makes thicker arches. Others say temps made of acrylic are thicker than the Zirconium permanent teeth eventually installed. Those statements appear contrary. Can you please explain? Thank you.
