Thanks for sharing.  Kybella is a series of 2-4 vials depending on the size and severity of the patient and is repeated every 4-6 weeks for 2 or 3 or even 4 session.  Cost as you can see can be the same as chin lipo when the multiple vials and treatments are needed.  The plus is that it is only injections but you do get swollen for a few days. Chin lipo is a one time thing and you would need a few days off. Smart lipo itself may not be enough in a patient with excessive fat and loose skin.  If you also have loose skin then you would need skin excision as we do in a neck lift.  Speak with a few boar certified specialists to review your candidacy.

Lipo is best way to go.  One treatment and takes 20 minutes.  No pain and back to work immidiately .  

I find that VASER/ThermiRF combination are best for contouring in those who are candidates but kybella can be used as an alternative.  Get a formal consultation you may be a candidate for a neck lift and need appropriate evaluation to determine what is best.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Your pictures suggest you'd likely have an excellent result with either treatment.  Kybella has the advantage of being non invasive with very minimal downtime.

You have gotten the right information here and it is true that Kybella can be just as expensive or even more expensive than liposuction depending on how much fat you are treating.  It does work out well for small chins, but when the chin area becomes larger the savings aren't there.CoolMini, though, could be a good consideration for you and has essentially no downtime.  Good luck!

You are correct about Kybella.  It works, is non-invasive, but can take multiple treatments.Lipo is one visit and is faster towards your final look, but is more invasive.

 From the very limited photographs presented, it appears that there is fatty deposits in the neck, loose and inelastic neck skin, and the beginning of platysmal bands. A neck lift with or without skin tightening may be required to perform a comprehensive rejuvenation of the neck. A surgical neck lift involves removal of fatty deposits above AND below the platysma muscle, in addition to a platysma-plasty to  significantly improve the jawline. When there is excess skin present confirmed at the time of an examination, a lower face and neck lift is required. When excess skin is present, liposuction or Kybella alone will not improve the skin tone. With the surgical option, consider the fact that there is visible bruising and swelling for  2 weeks and it is usually a one-time procedure with immediate results, rather than multiple procedures such as with Kybella.  In addition,Kybella cannot remove  the fat underneath the  the platysma muscle. Great research - you figured it out!! Yes KyBella injection sessions are at least a minimum of 3 at 6 weeks apart. So it would take 18 weeks or 4 and 1/2 months to see final result.
