How do you treat a double gluteal fold? (photo)

Once the native lower gluteal fold has been disrupted (by liposuction), it will never be the same. However there are surgical maneuvers that can improve it. Depending upon your physical exam findings, fat grafting back into the area can help or a lower buttock tuck may be necessary. Glad to be of help. 

The fat in the hip area acts as a column of support for the buttock. When too much of this structural fat is taken out the following happens:the buttock drops, and the buttock fold becomes longer as you can see in your pictures. As the buttock drops, it weighs on the skin of the lateral thigh which gives in, creating another fold.The correction is to restore what was taken out, i.e. fat injection. We have done this successfully on several patients and if you contact our office we can provide you photos so you can see for yourself.

Scar release with fat grafting can improve that area.  I would make sure that you see many before and after pictures of high

Hello and thank you for your question.  Sorry for your problem. This is a difficult area to fix. Your options are to carefully suction the fold and to either do a surgical buttock crease lift or fat injections to to butt just above the crease, or a combination thereof. Peter Fisher M.D.
