Are results after a Facial Fat Transfer evident right after surgery? Is 8cc of Fat enough for a facial fat transfer ?

I had a fat transfer to my face done approximately 24 hours ago. My cheeks looked fuller after surgery but the next day my cheeks don't seem to be full at all. Could I possibly have absorbed most of the fat already or does it take a few days / weeks / months for the results to be evident? Thanks

It can take up to 6 months for final results with fat transfer. Swelling is typical after fat transfer and can last 3-6 months. I recommend prp and/or Sculptra, depending on area, to help improve final results. Icing the area, predisone, ibuoprofen and venus legacy treatments can help reduce swelling. See an expert. Initially your face will be swollen and so while you might see results, it may be limited by the surrounding swelling.  Everyone is different, so I am not sure if 8 mls is too little or too much.

Your cheeks will look bigger right away and as the swelling and edema go down so to will the fullness but the fat that survives is yours but remember you will continue to age.
