I am a 40 year old women who had under eye filler done 5 years ago that resulted in swelling, Tyndall effect and malar bags. It also stretched my skin. It has been suggested that it be removed and then a combo of Morpheus 8 and full face co2 with PRF injections. I’m quite fearful of the Co2 laser and I’m wondering if Morpheus 8 alone will provide enough tightening?
Answer: Multiple treatments of Morpheus8 can be done to tighten the skin under the eyes. CO2 laser is another great option. Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Dark Circles/Eye Bags/Wrinkles -- Fillers Belotero, Volbella; Fraxel/Halo; emeragecosmetics ENLIGHTEN/AERIFY/COSMELAN eye lids need peels, lasers and plasmapen. microneedling RF like morpheus does very little for fine tightening. fractora MAY help but not nearly as much as lasers and plasmapen with enlighten or cosmealn before. at home peels like cosmelan, enlighten and aerify along with dermarolling (MTS roller with anteage MD ampules) should be started now. There are many things you can do to treat under eye hollows and dark circles. A surgical option to remove skin and/or fat will such as lower eyelid blepharoplasty with or without fat pad repositioning will be the best long term. There are many things you can do to treat under eye hollows and dark circles without surgery. Non invasive less downtime options such as fillers, lasers, microneedling/PRP, cosmelan peels, and microneedling RF like Fractora or morpheus can all help give some improvement. Accutite can often be used or stronger lasers like erbium or co2 spot treatment can tighten the skin and give very quick improvement in wrinkles and texture. I suggest you get a formal consultation to see what is best for you and your goals. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Yes Morpheus alone can tighten the skin. The co2 laser is good for the very surface of the skin The Morpheus device does have a resurfacing head that can be used rather than co2. Finally if you have fine surface wrinkles with some dyschromia you could consider a modest tca peel rather than co2.

Answer: Morpheus8 and co2 Thank you so much for your question. Before I get to the answer it is always best to remember that nothing replaces an in person consultation and treatment with a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon. Only they have rigorous training and rigorous examinations that ensure that you’re getting the absolute best. You wouldn’t want anyone other than a cardiac surgeon working on your heart and you should have same standards for your cosmetic procedures. The plan and treatment or only as good as the person performing them. We have both in our clinic and Generally speaking we also make the same recommendations - as the combo is much more superior reality. However there are some patients that do great with just one or the other so we often start with just one and see how it goes. If you have bags under your eyes, you may also want to consider adding accutite to the mix. It is currently the best non surgical lower blepharoplasty on the market. The only issue is pricing as if you split them up you are paying for room prep time and extra doctors time with each individually - so if thats not an issue definitely start with one. The settings are really important as I find that spa / manufacturer recommended settings arent always great. Cant stress the importance of the operator - especially when the goal is to fix rather than just maintain the gains. Happy to help - good luck

Answer: Addressing hollow lower eyelids Even though there is some tissue tightening from radio frequency I'm afraid it will not produce what it is you may be looking for. The hollowness in the lower eyelid area is still needs to be filled out and the best way to fill that area out is with your own fat. When an expert plastic surgeon performs a fat transfer procedure the results are extremely natural and practically permanent. I hope this helps and good luck from New York City plastic surgery
