They go away and come back! Will I be permanently disfigured? Will it go away? Is there scar tissue forming? I’m a model and I’ve lost work because of it. Please can you advise?? I’ve now formed huge nodules md scared.I’ve had Radiesse injected above my stomach navel 2 months ago to increase the collagen. My problem was a little loose skin post pregnancy.
Answer: Radiesse above the Navel Thanks for your question, I am sorry this happened to you. This is certainly an unusual place to put Radiesse, and I am not sure how they thought it would tighten skin. At any rate- it is possible to break up the Radiesse by injecting the area with Sterile Water. I would suggest taking Sterile Water (not sterile saline) and fanning it into the area using a microcannula and a bit of manual massage. The procedure can be repeated if need be until the product has diluted/flattened out. Best, Lisa Vuich, MD

Answer: Massage area twice daily with Plato's Scar Serum Radiesse is an FDA-Approved filler that we use very frequently in our office to sculpt the contours of the face. Since we are a national center of excellence for filler reversal, we also encounter patients from other doctors' offices who wish to have Radiesse fillers removed for one reason or another. In our office, we employ a directed technique to visualize the filler material, if possible on ultrasound, and then use non-surgical methods to dissolve the filler or granuloma tissue using intralesional injections. There are many methods using a combination of enzymes, intralesional modulators of scar tissue, and Kenalog to help reduce volume and remaining filler. These techniques require meticulous attention to detail and can be performed at intervals of two to three weeks to achieve longterm effect. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Radiesse - Not the best option As others have written, I'm not sure why your provider would have chosen Radiesse for this. While there is no way to quickly dissolve this product (as can be done with hyaluronic acid fillers), your body should resbsorb it over time, just far more slowly that with other fillers. I would not think it wise to inject such for the problem you wanted treated, especially in an area with such little subcutaneous fat. There are a variety of skin tightening treatments for that area, to include everything from "tummy tuck" to ultrasound and radio frequency devices. As others have advised, I would point you toward a qualified/experienced skin care specialist/plastic surgeon for the remedy and results you seek. But Radiesse in this area would be an absolute "no-no" for me in my practice. Good luck!

Answer: Radiesse Radiesse is generally considered to dissolvable, but it can take upto a year for this to happen. Personally, I would not inject Radiesse in a area with little subcutaneous fat to camouflage it. I would consider fat grafting for this area. Discuss your concerns with your physician.

Answer: Radiesse above belly button Dear JaniceI am very sorry to read your question and see your pictures. It is a puzzle as to why this procedure would be selected in the first place. There is some science that suggests some solutions but these things can only be discussed face to face and not in a forum like this or over the phone.I trust you went to an expert to have this done, if so you should contact them immediately for treatment or referral to someone whk knows what they are doing.Kind Regards and Best Wishes Dr Dinesh Maini Zenith Cosmetic Clinics Nottingham & Harley St, London
