Answer: Radiesse is a long lasting filler that cannot be resolved with hyaluronidase Radiesse is an FDA-Approved filler that we use very frequently in our office to sculpt the contours of the face. Since we are a national center of excellence for filler reversal, we also encounter patients from other doctors' offices who wish to have Radiesse fillers removed for one reason or another. In our office, we employ a directed technique to visualize the filler material, if possible on ultrasound, and then use non-surgical methods to dissolve the filler or granuloma tissue using intralesional injections. There are many methods using a combination of enzymes, intralesional modulators of scar tissue, and Kenalog to help reduce volume and remaining filler. These techniques require meticulous attention to detail and can be performed at intervals of two to three weeks to achieve longterm effect. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Subcision, Plus Intralesional Triamcinolone May Help To Break Up Unwanted Radiesse I am terribly sorry that you are having this difficulty. Radiesse is an excellent injectable volumzing filler that I have been using for nearly two decades, since the early days when it was called Radiance. It is excellent, for example, for nonsurgically volumizing cheeks, contouring jawlines, and augmenting chins, but it is not intended for use in delicate tissues, such as under the eyes or in the lips where it can give rise, as in your case, to white lumps and bumps. In the past, I have successfully treated cases where Radiesse was inappropriately injected by others into other locations using subcision to physically break up the bulky calcium deposits coupled with the injection of an anti-inflammatory agent, triamcinolone, and hyaluronidase to facilitate the diffusion of the treatment materials. You would be wise to consult with a board certified aesthetic physician with experience in using Radiesse and treating its complications to discuss these issues. Best of luck.

Answer: Bumps ...with Radiesse. Hello and thank you for your question. It is unfortunate that your injector used Radiesse for Lip Augmentation. I would not ever select this product for Lips as it is bright white and may show after injection. I prefer Hyaluronic Acid fillers for lips. Juvederm Ultra works well. I recommend you see a qualified plastic surgeon to evaluate your situation. Good luck to you.

Answer: Radiesse complications Whilst Radiesse is a fantastic and versatile filler; in the wrong hands using the wrong techniques and injecting the incorrect areas can cause disasters. Radiesse should not be injected into the lips or superficially into the skin unless it has be diluted. It should be injected by an experienced facial plastic surgeon or dermatologist, in appropriate anatomic planes. It will then give beautiful results. In your case, time will heal the problems. If you are very concerned then small incisions with a needle can be used to express the filler out of the lip. I wouldn't inject hyaluronidase or steroids as these have no effect on the Radiesse and can cause lip tissue atrophy. Try massaging the lips and be patient. It may take 6-12 months for this to resolve. Hope this is helpful.

Answer: Non reverseable Radiesse is not a good product for the lips. Since it is a calcium preparation hyaluronidase will not break it down as it would a hyaluronic acid product like Restylane , juvederm. volbella .I would see a good plastic or facial surgeon to have the product surgically removed or broken into smaller pieces. In anyevent the radiesse should not last a lifetime
