How to get rid of these small lumps? The performing doc says its not due to surgical mistake, but a reaction due to my skin properties. Not sure if I trust that since all info online about similar cases say that this is due to misplaced or not well "shaven" grafts. Any takes on this? Pic is 1 year post-op. Now 6 years post-op and redness is not bad, but lumps are still. Any possible treatments? Have considered fraxel laser, cortisone shots, and dermabration.
Answer: If it's been over 6 years, it probably would not get any better. Scars from surgery is very difficult to treat. If it's been over 6 years, it probably would not get any better. Scars from surgery is very difficult to treat. The first step would be to see a doctor for an examination.

Answer: Small bups on scalp These bumps you are talking about appear like bits of elevated graft skin from the original transplant. These bumps occur when the surgeon uses larger grafts, leaves too much skin on the edge of the graft or does not flatten the graft to the skin surface at the time of the surgery.

Answer: Mountains Hello These are typical surgical problems where the skin around each grafts has not been trimmed down totally. These are seen , so i would not blame the doctor too much, one of the reasons they are more visible is the colour of your hair, If you had darker hair, it would not be too visible. One way of camouflaging these is to get more hair put it. I have seen more such problems with FUE compared to FUT, since in FUE, surgeons are resistant to trimming skin, while in FUT skin trimming is done for all grafts. LASER is an option, using CO2 or Erbium, but you will have to trim your hair temporarily Dr Amit Gupta
