Best option for tear troughs? Is fat transfer safe? (Photos)

Hello. I really need some help here. I’m only 27 and I am against having a lower bleph, mostly because I feel like I don’t have a problem with my under eye bags or skin. I don’t have any discoloration and honestly I don’t mind having bags. also, Iv been quoted $9k-$12k for a lower bleph and I just think that’s too much money to spend on a small problem for a 27 year old. I REALLY need some help deciding on what to do with my tear troughs. Should I go with the dreaded tear trough filler everyone always says not to get? I’m worried about it making my face look worse, or possibly migrating or blocking lymphatic function. Or should I go with a fat transfer? I have a consultation next week with a surgeon who does micro fat transfers. He does all sorts of plastic surgery, so he’s not a facial specialist, so im mot sure if I should trust him for a facial fat transfer. I have heard horror stories about fat transfers under the eyes that either only last a few years, or they end up getting lumpy and uneven, or it makes their bags swell really badly. I’m just so conflicted and confused and don’t know what to do :( I’m not even trying to “erase” the tear troughs line, I know it’s natural. but iv had these since I was a teenager and I’d really love to just soften the look of them and have them not be so deep. Please help!!!
