Will allergies affect septoplasty & cause my turbinates to swell again?

Septoplasty surgery corrects the nasal septum and straightens it to make the nasal passage(s) more open. It is a very successful surgery with a low revision and complication rate.
Turbinate reduction aims to reduce those swell bodies in the nasal cavity and allow for better airflow and less congestion. Turbinate tissue can be reduced. It can, however, regrow over time. Repeat turbinate reductions are sometimes necessary. Turbinate tissue is necessary in the nose and therefore it's always better to err on the side of a conservative reduction of these tissues to avoid the dreaded empty nose syndrome.
