Will allergies affect septoplasty & cause my turbinates to swell again?

Hi. I need septoplasty with turbinate reduction. I have chronic allergic rhinitis. Allergies year round. My question is, would the surgery be useless or beneficial for me? Will my allergies interfere and cause turbinates to swell again? Does that make sense? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thx

It would help to know exactly what was done with your surgery especially with regard to any cartilage grafts. You don’t have a hanging columella but the columella is retracted. And you have thick skin which doesn’t help. It’s worth getting opinions from some surgeons to see what your options are
