Question

Im currently 25 years old, 5’6” Caucasian, 182lbs. My boobs are currently a loose D, they used to be DD while breastfeeding my second child. I have been looking into getting breast implants for a while, but I’m in fear that I will be told I “have” to get a boob lift or it won’t look as good as if I got the lift. I just know my skin scars very badly and I don’t want to feel even more insecure about my breasts. Im also possibly looking into a nipple reduction.

for scars, I close all of my incisions in 5 layers and do not use absorbable sutures because they cause inflammation and worse scarring. I tape all of my incisions in the office visits once a week for six weeks after surgery to improve the appearance. After taping, I start my patients on a scar gel therapy for 3 months that they have to put on their incisions twice daily.You should discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon as different surgeons have different approaches in scar management.

Hi, thank you for sharing your question. You are a good candidate for breast augmentation  and will likely require a lift procedure. Scarring is unpredictable and can sometimes be visibly unaesthetic but there are remedies at the earliest signs of poor scarring. I hope this helps.

Your breasts are asymmetrical in volume, shape and position. You do not need implants but need a lift. The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants ,elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired.

You do need a lift and I would suggest not going too large or your lifted heavy breasts may sag again. Once the sutures or tapes are removed, scar products will be helpful to improve your scars.
