Sensitivity in nipples after breast reduction I had surgery on the 11th of April ,& I went for a walk this morning and my nipples were so hard and tingling and veryy sensitive? Is that possible to gain sensation back into your nipple?
Answer: Nipple sensation after surgery It is common to lose or have altered sensation in the early days after a breast reduction. Both breasts may even feel different.Over time some, or all of the sensation will return & this can often be preceded by weird feelings & electric shocks or increased sensitivity. You shouldné be worried about what you are experiencing. All the best - you seem to have a nice result.

Answer: Sensory issues after breast augmentation Your nipple sensitivity may change after surgery and often this is temporary related to swelling. Once the swelling starts to subside the sensation usually improves.

Answer: I've never had sensation in my nipples. Is that just the numbness of my nipples? Thank you for your question. The answer is yes. Women with large breast often have decreased sensation in their nipples due to the pressure that is put on the sensory nerves by the weight of the breast. A breast reduction can relieve the pressure on these sensory nerves that innervate the nipples. Occasionally sensation in the nipples becomes more noticeable after a reduction and may even require a desensitization regimen. I recommend that you make an appointment with your plastic surgeon to discuss your questions as well as your convalescence.

Answer: Nipple sensation Most breast reductions lead to some nipple and sensitivity this is common as the tissue that is removed around the breast often carries nerves to the nipple unless you had a free nipple graft you will regain some of the sensation
