I am a college student in desperate need of a breast reduction, Is there anyway to have a plastic surgeon resident do it?

I assume from the way you asked the question that you do not have insurance.   Perhaps you could start with the Student Health Services at your college.  They should be a good source of information about the resources in your area.  Good luck.

I would see a plastic surgeon to see if the procedure can be covered through your insurance. If you do not have insurance, you would need to pay for the procedure whether a resident did the surgery or not (as they still need to be supervised by plastic surgeon).Good luck, Dr. Luong

Thank you for your question.  Even if you have a resident do your surgery by way of a resident clinic, your surgery cost would be no different and possibly even more expensive.  Make sure you are seeing a plastic surgeon that is In-Network with your insurance company to minimize your costs, not Out-of-Network.  Hope this helps.
