What would be best for lumps on my abdomen left over after a laser lipo?

Question

I was never told to get massages or anything that would give the smooth look. I can't wear a two piece or tight shirts because the lumps are visible. PLEASE PLEASE ADVISE. My belly button has visible fat as well.

Pending a formal evaluation, you may be a good candidate for a Revision Liposuction to address the lumps on your abdomen. You need a formal evaluation by an expert in body shaping and contouring to determine what is best. 
The best in body contouring not only removes fat with energy devices like VASER ultrasound but also internally heats the skin with radiofrequency devices such as Renuvion (J-Plasma), InMode BodyTite, and ThermiRF to heat the undersurface of the skin and tighten it at the same time as fat removal. These combinations are called 4D HI-DEF VASER Liposuction and can only be done by a well-trained body contouring specialist. At the same time, fat should be harvested and purified, with PRP and stem cells added, and then injected into muscles, indentations and cellulite to get body shaping and contouring. For a Brazilian butt lift (BBL), we inject the fat into the buttock for contouring and lifting, but fat can also be used in areas such as the chest/breast, arms/shoulders, calves and face. Cellulite should also be treated with a combination of Cellfina, subcision, and/or fillers such as Bellafill, Renuva synthetic fat, or Sculptra. If skin is very loose before surgery, then it will need to be removed: tummy tuck/abdominoplasty for lower abdominal skin; breast lift for excess breast skin; and/or a brachioplasty for loose arm skin. Overall, you need a full assessment, but simple liposuction / laser lipo alone will not tighten skin and needs a combination of various methods -- fat removal, skin tightening, defining, fat grafting, skin removal -- to get the best in body contouring and body sculpting. Small lumps after liposuction are not uncommon. If these are visible, then treatment needs to be done but if they are only palpable (you can feel them but not see them) they may not be worth pursuing. The first step is always to massage, massage, massage and let enough time for healing to pass. Typically that's about 2-3 months. If they still persist, there are several options such as doing a kenalog injection which is a mild steroid that can help break up the scar tissue, or consider Kybella injection which is a medication that dissolves fat. This would be an off label use of Kybella but it is very safe. Another option is to do touch up liposuction to smooth out and blend those areas, called liposhifting. In some extreme cases, a tummy tuck might even be necessary but that is unusual.

Hello there! We have seen nice improvements in contour irregularities post-lipo when cellutone is utilized. This machine utilizes mechanical vibration/massage to loosen, soften, and smooth. There is minimal to no downtime (bruising is very rare), and no pre-treatment instructions. We typically recommend a series of treatments, and most patients will do two appointments per week. I often see patients who have had a previous procedure 3-6 months prior and come to me for an opinion on revision because of lumps/ a feeling of unevenness, etc. I always advise patients to give the area time to heal and to massage frequently. Massaging at home is perfectly fine and there is no need to pay for lymphatic massage as that cost can add up over several months. 
The other thing to factor into the expected time frame of healing is how many other procedure have been performed in the area. If this is a patient who has no prior surgeries and first time lipo, I would expect faster healing versus the patient who has had a c section, open appendectomy, hernia repair, cryolipolysis and laser lipo. Prior procedures scar tissue longer healing time. Hope this helps!

In the healing process of Liposuction there will be a lumpy feeling at first, 6-8weeks, followed by little pebbly feeling, then smooth...typically.Daily exercise and smooth tight compression are your best ways to heal.Massage after 6wks may be of benefit for the remaining pebbly sensations.Bipolar ultrasound externally may also help with smoothing.Best. Lumpiness after lipo is usually due to irregular fat deposits and scarring. If you're thin, you might get away with shifting the fat and breaking the scar tissue (we call this liposhifting). But, you may need a tummy tuck to stretch the skin. You should see a cosmetic surgeon to see the best path for you.

i would recommend massaging the area twice a day for a few minutes. A lot of people find lymphatic massage very helpful if you have the money and time. It will often improve a lot over the next few months. Therefore do not be in a rush to do anything surgical to fix it up before 6-12 months.david berman md

The procedure of liposuction is an "insult"
to the soft tissues, resulting in swelling which will initially totally obscure
the operative result. Initially, there will often be lumpiness due to uneven inflammation, which usually subsides over 3-6 months or so. 60-80% of the swelling should subside within the first 6 weeks, with the remainder slowly subsiding over 6-12 months. It is important to know how long ago your procedure was performed. If significant, resolution of residual lumpiness due to swelling can be hastened with the use of ultrasonic and radiofrequency energy devices. 
If the lumpiness persists, it may be due to the presence of residual fatty deposits or scar. 15% of cosmetic surgery procedures require touch ups.
