I'm in my second week of recovering from a face/ neck surgery, and I’ve noticed a hole or indentation in the left side of my neck in the throat area. I also see 2 small incisions that my Dr did in that area. I have 2 more scars on my ears and scalp I do not have any incision in my chin area like others have. Is this normal? It is going to go away? I am very scared.

The irregularity in your neck area may be due to liposuction. Generally, in the early phases of healing there may be unevenness that slowly resolves with time. This is too early in the process to be worried. I would give it 3 months to relax and heal. Talking to your surgeon is your best option, because they know what maneuvers they did in surgery, and give you a clear and comforting explanation.

It can take 6 months for final results after your face & necklift. However, I recommend following up with your Doctor about your concerns and after care recommendations. To improve final results, we will often do a kybella and ultherapy about 4-6 weeks after neck lift to get more of an outcome. See an expert.
