Question

Since my surgeries I have had a very difficult time reducing these "love handles". Because of the large DIEP flap incision, doing the normal ab exercises I once did, is difficult. Its hard enough knowing I endured breast cancer and beat it and while I should be great-ful, having this fat getting more and more visual is keeping me from being comfortable in my own skin. Would I be a candidate for contouring? Size 16 now. Was a 12 before surgery.

Thank you for submitting your question. An examination is vital to evaluate if your a good candidate for liposuction.  You may be a good candidate to lower your scar.  Discuss your options with your Plastic Surgeon.  Best Wishes.

Yes ma'am you would be a candidate.  Usually from the fat grafting you would have an improvement.  Did you complete a physical therapy program to regain core strength.  If not then please get a referral.  Each of my DIEP patients goes through a program.
