I was diagnosed with scoliosis at 18. I’m 25 now. I HATE my waist. One side has a curve and the other is straight because of the 30 degree curve and hip rotation. When I’m standing it’s very obvious that I lean to one side, and it’s even more obvious when bent over. I am looking for a way to improve the appearance of my waist without invasive surgery. Can coolsculpting help minimize the appearance of my scoliosis? Open to all suggestions. Thank you!

Answer: CS with Scoliosis Hi. Thanks for the question, and the photo. Based on the photo, it seems that you would be a good candidate for CoolSculpting. An in-person evaluation would be needed to develop a treatment plan for you. What I see appears to be pinchable fat. CoolSculpting is designed to treat pinchable fat.If you can pinch it, we can sculpt it.Best of luck.Michael kerin MDKerin MedSpaTuckahoe, NY

Answer: Am I a candidate for CoolSculpting? Thanks for your question and sharing your photo. I believe you are a great candidate for non-surgical fat reduction with CoolSculping. I'm sorry to learn of your scoliosis, but this is certainly not a contraindication. I understand how your curvature can lead to the appearance of more fat in your midsection than there really is. Coolsculpting can nicely reduce the fat in this region, but of course, your spine curvature will remain the same.Best of luck,Oscar A.
