I had an inguinal hernia repaired with mesh, via laparoscopic repair about two months ago. I wanted to get cool sculpting done around my belly button. One of the small incisions is right next to my belly button. The hernia repair was much lower and in the area of where my thigh meets groin. When is it safe for me to get cool sculpting around my belly button?
Answer: CoolSculpting CoolSculpting is generally unsafe if you have a hernia, in which case you should hold off. Wait until you are fully healed then contact a qualified provider or a board-certified physician with extensive experience in these procedures to see if you are qualified for the treatment.

Answer: CoolSculpting after Hernia surgery It would depend on the location of your hernia and also how well you healed following the surgery. I would talk first to your doctor that performed the hernia repair to get input about the safety of the procedure. CoolSculpting is safe if the hernia repair is well healed and there are no further existing hernias, however rarely CoolSculpting can increase the risk of creating a new hernia. I would recommend a consultation with a provider in your area so they are able to assess the area to see that you are a candidate for the procedure.
